"My" Swedish Adventure ~ Resan ~ Weapons and More at Tower of London ~ Post 34

Cloudy Skies, but still no rain! Still lovin' the new, modern building in the background.

The sign below says: "British 25 Pounder Field Com…talking about the type of weapon."

"The Mortar's hollow cast iron bed is not a standard military mounting and it was probably made for saluting or experimental use…"

The hollow bed mountings.

A 25 Pounder below.

A few cannons from the side.

Cannons head on, painted and pretty.

We went into the jewel house, but weren't allowed to take photos.

The phrase "they made things well back in the day" really holds true for many buildings in Europe and Rome, etc. They are still standing!

Thanks for stopping by!

Wishing you success in all of your genealogical treasure hunts!
