~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
These photos were taken as we were approaching the Tower of London and it's surroundings. My hubby is in the middle of the crowd.
Our friend, Kathy, and my husband are almost walking passed the sign for the Tower of London's directions.
I love all of the greenery everywhere. Below is the gate around what used to be the moat. You can see in the photo what it all looked like back in the day, with water in the moat.
The architecture of today sure makes the Tower of London stand out. The lawn area used to be the moat, filled with water.
Another angle of the moat, and the view of a modern building.
One more angle. We were once again blessed with a beautiful day, no rain.
Here is the sitting area where tourists can rest or watch performances, etc, that take place below in the moat area.
Thanks for stopping by!
Wishing you success in all of your genealogical treasure hunts!
