"My" Swedish Adventure~Resan~Approaching Entrance to Buckingham Palace~Post 21

"My" Swedish Adventure ~ Förbereda (Preparing)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Off to the right from Trafalgar Square you can see these buildings which support the entrance towards Buckingham Palace. As you can see it was a beautiful day!
The view in this shot is a bit closer, you may notice the flag flying as it is flying. I remember imagining myself so close to Buckingham Palace, but couldn't really believe it.
The photo below was taken the day we walked to Buckingham Palace, with hopes of seeing the changing of the guard. At this point we are walking around the first round building on the left of the entrance.
The next photo was taken once we were around the buildings and again facing the arches head on. You can see a few people, and can get an idea of the size of this wall of arches.
The last photo of the entrance. If you look closely you can make out the sign which reads, "Road Closed." Everyday cars are not allowed through this road. Only specific vehicles, work related…etc., have special permission to drive through onto the road beyond.
We have walked through the arches and entrance now with our London friends, Dave and Kathy. Shortly, my husband and I realize the walk to the Palace is a long straight mile or so ahead.
 The day we went to Buckingham Palace, it was a bit cloudy, but  it burned off quickly.
Thanks for stopping by!
Wishing you success in all of your genealogical treasure hunts!
