Image
Even though I stated I wasn't going to post about the Baltic Cruise we went on prior to spending time in Sweden, I need to share that one of our docking areas was Stockholm. So, my feet first stepped on Swedish ground on August 23, 2013. Approaching Stockholm's port on a cruise ship was absolutely amazing. A cruise ship behinds ours is what you see in the photo below. We went up and around so many little islands. We twisted and turned through the waterways. The sky starts to turn dark, will there be rain in our future? Even with the dark skies, the landscape was so beautiful, houses up and down the waterways. As you can see in the middle of the photo, bright, clear skies are trying to come back! This yellow building popped out from the greenery. Again, if you look closely, some blue sky is trying it's hardest to come back. A variety of houses. The water, the greenery, the houses. I feel so in my element, surrounded by all I love. ...

Sweden ~ My Dream ~ Photos & Stories Series

Image
I am not sure why it has taken me so long to write about my time in Sweden and meeting my family. Maybe, deep down, I have been afraid the most amazing trip of my life will finally, really and truly, be over if I share it. The time has come, however, I am ready to share! I look forward to reliving every moment of this fantastic journey. You will soon be able read about my experiences and joy, see photos and share in one of the most breathtaking times of my life. My initial thoughts were to share the sequence of our trip in order, London, Baltic cruise and Sweden.  Knowing I could easily take my blog posts and make a book from them (I have done several books with Shutterfly and love them) I started out with our trip day by day, so it would be in chronological order for the books I plan to put together. The Book of Me Written by You~Prompt 39~Do You Have A Safe Place?

Image
I am participating in Julie Goucher's activity: This week's prompt is - Do you have a safe place? This can be somewhere that you gravitate to, to make decisions or reflect Somewhere you go to think Somewhere you go to take time out Somewhere you keep things you must not  looser Do you have more than one safe place? Having looked at the prompt hints have you changed that immediate thought? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The first and foremost safe place for me would be my home. I am a homebody. I have so many projects I want to do...if I could, I would stay home for months on end. Well, not really months on end, but it sounds good. To think how much I could accomplish! In my home, I may use my bedroom or my craft/spare bedroom for peace and quiet to make decisions and/or reflect. My car comes in handy when I feel I need to get out of the house. Ideally however, the best place to find me when I need to reflect on a situation would be anywhere th...
