This week’s prompt ~ Prompt 10 ~ Unexplained Memories

 Do you have an unexplained memory or memories?

 Things and times you can remember, but you are not sure where they fit into your past
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I don't really have any unexplained memories of anything that happened in my life that I can think of, and I have thought about it for awhile. I do however have something that is unexplained in my dreams! When I was a teenager, I had a recurring dream, but I can not say how often it would reoccur. Out of the blue every so often I would wake having had the same, simple dream.
I had this quite often for the longest time…all it was, was marching feet and legs. That is all I saw, from the knees down to the feet. I remember seeing feet with boots, like these were soldiers marching. And, it was always the same thing, only legs from the knees down with boots on the feet. And all that happened, was marching, and more marching.
I did not know anyone in the service during that time, so it was strange that I dreamt of army men marching. I have always tried to analyze my dreams and why I have dreamt what I dreamt. Usually I can understand my dreams and can relate them to something in my life. This one though has had me clueless.
Someone once mentioned to me that maybe I dreamt this because my own feet were tired and hurt. That is the best conclusion I have found, although I can't relate exactly when I dreamed this to specific times my feet may have hurt.
I did however walk to school everyday and home at that age (High School). I lived a mile from the school. I did walk to my ROP class from the bus stop and home from the bus stop also. I walked to downtown when I went to buy material to make clothes, go to the library, movies or do other shopping. I did do a lot of walking. I have never had a problem with my feet, and I was young so it is difficult for me to understand that my feet would hurt so often or that bad.
I once walked a 25 mile marathon, a fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis, and I do not remember having that dream after that specific event, which is when I think I would shave had it!
I suppose the only way I will ever really find out what this was about is….
...in my dreams.
