Jamboree 2010 ~ A Smiling Saturday ~ Post #5

Saturday started out with a very nice breakfast right there at the Marriot Hotel with Gini Webb-Ginisology and her husband Steve, Elyse-Elyse's Genealogy Blog, and A.C. Ivory-Find My Ancestor. Elyse finished eating and took off to the Blogger Summit as she was on the panel. When the rest of us were finished we headed on over to where the summit was to be held, along with many other GeneaBloggers. Below is what was displayed on the screen~

Here we see each of the panelists for the first session. Thomas MacEntee-Destination Austin FamilyGeneaBloggers, Steve Danko-Steve's Genealogy Blog, Elyse Doerflinger-Elyse's Genealogy Blog, Miriam Midkiff-AnceStories, and Randy Seaver-GeneaMusings (a distant cousin of mine as he is with many others).

I love the look Elyse is giving here. Of course, they were all posing for cameras that were set up in another direction than I was, so the panel was all looking the other way. All that is except for Elyse. Not sure what grabbed her attention, but I got the shot!

Below, is none other than our very own footnote Maven [she is another "cousin"  but we haven't found any real connections, if you can imagine that... :-) ], Shades of the Departed-Shades the Magazine. I thought this was an apropos photo of fM, please notice her magnificent crown! I have to admit, the crown is most beautiful when viewed from the front though. A lot of people in the audience were taking pictures, maybe I will share more of the pictures I took of them at another time.

In between Blogger Summit Session One and Blogger Summit Session Two, the GeneaBloggers were gathered to have a picture taken to show how many of us were in the room. Gini's-Ginisology husband Steve took these next two photos for me with my camera. Unfortunately for him, I had the wrong lens on the camera for this photo. The poor guy kept backing up and backing up....it took two pictures to capture us all.

Thanks Steve for taking these pictures for me!

Thanks for stopping by!

Wishing you success in all of your genealogical treasure hunts!
