Almost on the Road Again...to Jamboree!

I spent my afternoon excitedly getting ready for my road trip to the Southern California Genealogy Jamboree. Seems like I just unpacked from my nine day trip to Tennessee. Well, I guess it has been four days since I unpacked. I am rejuvenated again, and ready to go! Always ready to go to Jamboree!

As I was packing my mind began to reminisce a bit on last years Jamboree. It was so much fun, probably more fun than I ever could have imagined. I wonder what the over 500 first timers attending this years Jamboree are thinking? Will they be expecting to much? How excited are they? Sometimes we tend to get so excited about something, only to be let down. At Jamboree though, you could never be let down!

During my reminiscing I thought of last years blogger beads and ribbons...they sure added to the fun!

Thanks to Thomas MacEntee from GeneaBloggers for the "Palm" beads and all the extra touches he added to make Jamboree even more special. I also thank Amy Coffin from We Tree for making us all Rock Stars, she is the "biggest and bestest" Rock Star around!

One of the items I didn't want to forget to pack is my book Who Do You Think You Are by Megan Smolenyak Smolenyak. She promised she would sign my book at Jamboree, and true to her word she has a couple times set up just for book signing. What a treat!

I would like to mention one more thing I read about just this evening before I sign off to get a good night's sleep for my road trip. I am sooo very excited to hear that "Shades the Magazine" produced by footnoteMaven herself will be on the "Big Screen" the "Twittertron" at Jamboree! A well deserved honor, to her and all of it's authors! It will be absolutely, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful items I will see at Jamboree! (Along with all those beautiful, smiling, friendly faces of the attendees and workers alike!)

In case I forget to tell you Paula Hinkel, I had a great time! I thank you and Leo Myers and everyone else for all of the hard work you have all energized towards this miracle, the 41st Annual Jamboree! And just think I haven't even gotten there yet...(but less than eleven hours till I leave...)

Thanks for stopping by!

Wishing you success in all of your genealogical treasure hunts!
