Urias (Cachi) Abel Chaverri-Oviedo

Today, our family lost a great man.

I add the passing of my husband's stepfather to the family tree.

It is very difficult to be away from the family in Costa Rica at this time when there is so much sadness. They have lost their father, grandfather and great grandfather, the patriarch of the family. Our thoughts, hearts, prayers and love are with you all.

My husband and I are very grateful to have spent time with Urias in July and August of this year. He was an amazing man, even at 98 years old when we saw him last.

He treated my husband as if he were his own son. He had a heart of gold, and would ask us daily if everything was ok. He would walk miles to find and surprise my husband with his favorite fruit when we visited.

I have been blessed to know and love this man for almost 25 years. He was an inspiration to many. He left a piece of himself with each of us, never to be forgotten.

Thank you, Urias, for everything you brought to this world and for the family and memories you have left us. You will be missed.

Rest in Peace.

Thanks for stopping by!

Wishing you success in all of your genealogical treasure hunts!
