Those Places Thursday ~ Roots Tech

No, unfortunately, I am not at Roots Tech this year. I did however listen (as much as I could with interruptions from the prince and princess) to the keynote speech this morning by Jay Verkler. I know those in attendance are going to have the most wonderful experience! Even being home and listening in gave me a bit of the enchantment of Roots Tech. The excitement and anticipation of all that the tech world has to offer those of us involved in genealogy and family history is absolutely incredible!

Remember, they are live streaming certain lectures during every day of the conference. You can head to the Roots Tech web page to find out which sessions are offered and listen to the ones that interest you. If you are like me, I want to listen to them all!

I have decided to leave the web page open all day so that I don't get sidetracked because of the kids and miss any of the sessions. I can walk away and do something but will hear if someone starts speaking, so I can drop what I am doing (but maybe not the kids) and run right over and listen in!

In fact another session is starting in about 25 minutes so better get the kids interested in something so I will be ready to listen in!

Hope you have the opportunity to  listen in too!

Thanks for stopping by!

Wishing you success in all of your genealogical treasure hunts!

  1. I don't have little ones at home but I still get side-tracked. I left the page open, too.

  2. Hi Nancy, I know! Even if it weren't the grandkids, something else would distract me. I have left it open all three days! It was pretty great wasn't it?
