Jamboree 2011 ~ Welcome Bag & Ice Cream Social

Friday morning was partially spent visiting GeneaBloggers, those who had arrived the previous night and those which arrived that morning. A group of us went up to help Thomas bring down the GeneaBloggers welcome bags from his room, so he could pass them out to the bloggers. I have to tell you, the swag bag committee did an awesome job preparing and putting these together. There were so many WONDERFUL gifts in these bags from a variety of vendors.

GeneaBloggers Swag Bag Team

Thomas McEntee, Amy Coffin, Linda and George Lenertz, and Joan Miller

We also received a Tee shirt from Wiki Tree and one also from Geni which, unfortunately, did not make it in the photo above. Perhaps one day I will model those for you...

I wish to THANK all of the vendors and swag bag team members for the most awesome gifts and the hard work involved in putting together these welcome bags!

One of the items in our swag bag was an invitation to an ice cream social Friday evening, shown below. This was hosted by Geni and GeneaBloggers. There was a Geni button attached to this invitation, not shown here, which we were to wear in order to enter the social. (My button is attached to my lanyard which I will share later.) I  have to admit, I remember taking pictures at this event, but those photos seem to have disappeared, maybe I ingested to much ice cream and was on a sugar overload and just THOUGHT I took photos?

Thank you to Geni and GeneaBloggers for the ice cream and a fun filled social event!

Even though I do not have photos of the ice cream social, many of the other bloggers do and have been sharing theirs. There is one picture I need to get a copy of, it seems Randy Seaver and I were wearing grass skirts on our heads! Have you seen it? (I need to find me a copy!)

Thanks for stopping by!

Wishing you success in all of your genealogical treasure hunts!

*Disclaimer ~ I am not affiliated with any of the companies listed above. I received these items because I am  a GeneaBlogger.
